Yolancris presents its second Couture collection in Paris
Yolancris è tornato a calcare la passerella della Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week con una collezione ispirata alla letteratura di Edgar Allan Poe e alle illustrazioni di Harry Clarke e Aubrey Beardsley: la tradizionale tavolozza di colori della maison spagnola lascia spazio alle interpretazioni black and white che evocano la maniera delle arti decorative dell’Art Nouveau di inizio Novecento.
L’altra grande lezione che sembra emergere è quella che proviene dagli Anni Sessanta e Settanta; il binomio bianco e nero ricordail dinamismo percettivo tipico del movimento Optical. A ispirare Ros Jiménez, designer (e proprietario) di Yolancris , infine, è stata la luce e il paesaggio delle Isole Canarie, per una commistione perfetta tra cultura e natura.
Alla sfilata, in scena presso l’Ambasciata di Spagna a Parigi, hanno partecipato oltre duecento ospiti, tra socialite e personalità della moda e del lusso. Gli abiti sono stati completati dai gioielli di Roselinde e dalle calzature di Sophia Webster.
Yolancris is back on the catwalk of the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week with a collection inspired by the literature of Edgar Allan Poe and the illustrations by Harry Clarke and Aubrey Beardsley: the traditional color palette of the Spanish fashion house gives way to the black and white interpretations that evoke the manner of the decorative arts of the Art Nouveau of the early twentieth century.
The other great lesson that seems to emerge is that which comes from the Sixties and Seventies; the black and white combination reminds us of the perceptive dynamism typical of the Optical movement.
Finally, the light and landscape of the Canary Islands inspired Ros Jiménez, designer (and owner) of Yolancris, for a perfect blend of culture and nature. More than two hundred guests took part in the fashion show at the Spanish Embassy in Paris, including socialites and fashion and luxury personalities. The clothes were completed by Roselinde’s jewelery and Sophia Webster’s shoes.
